Looiersgracht 60 is happy announce that ‘Seeing without a Seer’ is accompanied by our Temporary Bookshop VI. The exhibition and public event explore alternative ways of looking, thinking and image-making. The lens-based works in the exhibition usurp the viewer from the central position to which s/he has become accustomed. ‘Seeing without a Seer’ is realised in collaboration with Radical Reversibility, a research based art cooperative that seeks to develop the visual and conceptual strategies that radically reverse the paradigms of our contemporary visual culture.

Looiersgracht 60’s bookshop presents a collection of relevant titles, including publications created by the exhibiting artists. For those who wish to further explore the exhibition’s key concerns, an assortment of titles on art, philosophy and photography is available. This includes books by Roland Barthes, John Berger and Jean Baudrillard.
