Film screening of The Phenomenon (James Fox, 2020) with an introduction by UFO-researcher Bram Roza about the film and his own documentary-in-progress, De UFO’s van Soesterberg.

For the first public programme event for the Public Research Residency I, Looiersgracht 60 and Radical Reversibility are pleased to present a film screening related to UFOs and the (un)imaginable in space. Bram Roza, graphic designer and UFO-researcher, will introduce his fascination for UFO's, tell about his documentary-in-progress and screen some exclusive preview clips. Subsquently, we will screen James Fox's documentary The Phenomenon (2020) in full. Following the film screening there will be an opportunity for a Q&A with Roza and the artists-in-residence.

In collaboration with Radical Reversibility, the first edition of the Public Research Residency brings together artists Doina Kraal and Roger Cremers for the production of their collaborative project, Spiritus – Archiving the (Un)imaginable. This project is a continuation of an existing conversation and body of research surrounding time travel, the universe, archives, music, sound and storytelling. Working between installation, performance and interdisciplinary practice, Kraal and Cremers will explore the representation of the universe and the stories that are told to describe different phenomena, histories and future scenarios.

Apart from time spent in production, Kraal and Cremers will collaborate with Radical Reversibility and Looiersgracht 60 to present a varied public programme to complement and expand on their research and artistic production. Each Saturday from 20 August to 10 September the public is invited to attend events hosted by the artists and special guests.

The film screening will be held on Saturday August 20, 2022 from 20:00-22:00.

Doors open at 19:30. Visitors are welcome to see the work-in-progress by Doina Kraal and Roger Cremers in the exhibition space before attending the screening.
